Sarah Welton
Sarah has over 25 years experience working in all aspects of marine and coastal education at home and abroad.
She established and ran a voluntary marine nature reserve and other coastal interpretation initiatives in Dorset.
Then as Education Officer for the Marine Conservation Society (UK), Sarah gained experience of marine education nationally.
Internationally, she was Education Co-ordinator for the Shoals of Capricorn Programme in Mauritius and the Seychelles and has advised on projects in the Bahamas, India and Malaysia.
In recent years, as a consultant, Sarah has produced educational resources at all levels from board games to post-graduate teaching packs and treasure chests of activities and display materials for museums.
She teaches field studies on a regular basis and wrote the Education Strategy for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Sarah lives in Dorset and is a Poole Harbour Commissioner and a Coastguard Rescue Officer.
