MET at UNEP Conference
MET was proud to be represented at 'Creating Change', the 2008 Children's International Conference on the Environment, organised by the United Nations Environment Program and held in Stavanger, Norway. About 1000 children aged between 10- 14 years participated, and represented no less than 105 countries. Trustee Nina Ness was at the Conference hosting MET's stand as well as running Underwater Field Trips so that children from all over the world could learn about cold water marine life and ecosystems. Nina said "The underwater field trip was a great success: we had more than 30 kids from countries including South Korea, China, Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, Lebanon, Kenya, Gambia... snorkelling in 13 degrees of water and loving it!"
